Community interest company No Floor No More is a prime example of a circular economy initiative. Pia Honey, a beautician by trade, rescues flooring from being wasted. It is sold at low cost to be reused in homes. This benefits people who would otherwise struggle to afford flooring and those wishing to make more sustainable lifestyle choices.

The company is self-funding; its sales pay for storage, transport and running costs. This model provides access to flooring for those who otherwise might struggle to afford it, those on benefits or a low income or those just opting for a more sustainable lifestyle choice. The recycled materials are offered at affordable prices with a lower rate for people receiving benefits. This has revolutionised access to flooring for low-income households.

To date, Pia has provided more than 1,600 Hertfordshire households with flooring, reducing their heating costs while also cutting the amount of waste being sent to landfill. Pia is a climate champion and a rising star who has gone above and beyond to improve sustainability while benefiting those most in need.
