Natalie Quilter – The G15 (NHG)
Last year, Natalie took the lead at Notting Hill Genesis’ (NHG) people strategy and benefits programme, where she successfully designed and implemented a new recruitment strategy for the operations department. Her efforts in this role have been transformative for the housing association – but where Natalie truly stands out is in her tireless advocacy for working carers.
Since the age of eight, Natalie has been a carer for her mother, who has multiple sclerosis and mental health conditions. Natalie has transformed her personal experience into a powerful catalyst for change in the housing sector and beyond. In 2020, just before the global pandemic, Natalie bravely shared her story for the first time and launched NHG’s first Carers Network. This event snowballed into Natalie being an ambassador for carers across the UK, working both as part of her role and in her own time to ensure the conversation continues.
At NHG, Natalie has overseen a remarkable growth in the Carers Network she founded, which grew from just five members in 2020 to 152 members in 2024.
The judges said:
“Brilliant example of someone who has made the best of a difficult situation – and has helped and supported others along the way. Natalie’s bravery in sharing her story will be an inspiration to others”
