Samantha Jones – Haringey Council
Sponsored by:
Samantha Jones is a driving force behind Haringey Council’s ambitious plan to deliver 3,000 new council homes by 2031 – homes that are not only high-quality and sustainable, but also co-designed with the residents who will live in them.
As a key member of the council’s housing delivery team, Samantha champions innovation, climate-conscious design and meaningful placemaking, ensuring communities are empowered in shaping their future. Her impact is already visible: to date, 54 housing schemes have started on site, with 2,073 council homes either completed or in progress, and more than 700 families already moved in. But it is Samantha’s blend of technical expertise and empathy that truly sets her apart.
Praised by Anna Blandford, Haringey’s assistant director of regeneration and economic development, as “inspiring” and “incredibly hard-working”, Samantha goes above and beyond the day job – mentoring early-career professionals and contributing widely to community development. Whether through delivering sustainable housing or supporting the next generation of housing leaders, Samantha’s dedication and leadership are transforming lives and communities.
The judges said:
